It’s been a season full of great markets, great people, and great corn
As sad as we are to say goodbye to summer, It’s that time of year again. We’ve put away our farmers’ market tents and yellow My Dad’s Sweet Corn bags, and the last of the sweet corn has been harvested from the fields. It’s bittersweet, especially since the 2018 season was such a blast!
When the season comes to a close, we always like to look back and take a moment to thank all those who made it possible. We’re so grateful to each of our customers for trekking out to the farmers’ markets, buying corn online, and making My Dad’s Sweet Corn a part of your summer. This family business would be nowhere without you!
We also want to thank all the people who helped out behind the scenes and at the market stands this season—you’d be surprised how many people it takes to get sweet corn to 12 different locations every Saturday. We attended 203 farmers markets over the season, from June 27th to October 6th, and—coincidentally—our actual season from planting until the last market was 203 days. It’s kind of crazy how long sweet corn actually lasts when you think about it in days! Thank you everyone who made it happen!
So now we’re taking a step back to rest, recuperate, and plan for next year—and to eat the sweet corn we’ve frozen! In the meantime, we’d love to hear from all of you. Till then, keep up to date with what’s happening on Facebook. Happy Trails!
